Equipment file in myrentcar

Find out how to manage and modify an equipment file in myrentcar.

It is possible to manage your equipment on the myrentcar car rental management solution.

You can access an equipment file by clicking on one of the results in the list, or by searching for a specific piece of equipment, using the shortcut search.

Once on an equipment sheet, an action banner appears at the bottom of the page.

This button saves changes made to a file.

 This button returns you to the equipment list.

  This button is used to create a new equipment record.

  This button is used to print a document concerning the equipment.

  This button is used to copy the consulted file.

  This button deletes the consulted file.

As the mouse hovers over the icons, a description of the action quickly appears.

When creating a new file, certain information is mandatory.

Mandatory fields (marked with a red asterisk) must be entered in order to validate the file. If these fields are left blank, a message will be displayed, preventing the file from being saved.

The insert above the tabs provides a quick view of the equipment identification information.

"Number": This is where the equipment number added during creation appears.

"Serial number": Enter the equipment's serial number or a free text to identify and find it more easily (if the search matches the shortcut, the record will be found immediately).

"Name": Enter or modify this field, which will appear on the various reports. When creating a piece of equipment, this field allows you to manually enter its name. Completion of this field is mandatory.

General tab

This tab consists of several fields allowing you to manage the data for this equipment.

Mandatory fields (marked with a red asterisk) must be entered to validate the form. If these fields remain empty, a message is displayed and will prevent this record from being saved.

Complement tab

This tab allows you to enter additional information, predefined in the backoffice.

Documents tab

As with vehicles and customers, it is possible to add, view or delete documents for equipment, such as a copy of a purchase invoice.

To add a document, drag and drop the file into the box provided, or select the file on your workstation using the button .

To manage a document, use the action buttons at the end of the document line.

This button downloads the document for viewing.

This button allows you to import the document into myrentcar.

This button cancels the import of the document into myrentcar.

This button deletes the document.

Warning: If the document does not save, check :

  • Document size (it must not exceed 2MB or MB).
  • Document name (the name should not be too long; rename the document if necessary and repeat the operation).

Vehicle tab

This tab allows you to link a piece of equipment to a vehicle. If a vehicle is already linked to this equipment, the information can be found here:

You can modify, add or delete a vehicle using the buttons below.
