Version 2.8 of the myrentcar car rental software marks a new milestone in optimizing financial management and customer relations. Among the major updates: the introduction of deposit invoices, advance payments, and an integration with CreditSafe to enrich customer data. Numerous improvements have also been made to email templates, customer and vehicle records, pricing grids, and accounting exports — all with the goal of increasing efficiency and accuracy. Developments
- Deposit Invoices: A new feature has been added (disabled by default) that allows the generation of deposit invoices based on payment lines.
This functionality can be activated by administrators via the middle office, under the "Accounting Settings" section, in the "Advanced" tab, then "Deposit Invoice Management."
New buttons are now available below the usual payment grids to allow invoicing, printing, and sending deposit invoices by email.
These buttons will only be usable if the option is activated and a payment line is selected. - Advance Payments: A new feature has been added (disabled by default) and is available only with the "Advanced Payments" option.
A new "Payments" tab is now available in the customer records (if the option is enabled), allowing users to directly input single or multiple payments from the relevant customer file.
This tab also enables the setup of "automatic credit consumption" when a customer has a positive balance at the time of invoicing, along with a minimum balance alert.
In such cases, an automatic payment line will be inserted during the document's billing process. - CreditSafe Integration: A new interface has been added for integration with the CreditSafe application (available by subscription only), allowing retrieval of key data for customers categorized as Companies or Associations. These details are displayed directly within customer records in myrentcar.
An optional display is also available on commercial documents via hover-over of the existing "$" icon. - Email Templates: Email templates linked to your report templates are now available in the middle office.
These email templates now support inserting variables related to the type of document associated with the report template. - myrentcarservices: It is now possible to retrieve vehicle category images in the response from the GetCategoriesDetails method, using the "withPhoto" parameter (default is false).
The images are returned in base64 format. - Customer / Vehicle Records: A previously existing feature from rentcar has been made available in myrentcar, via the "Graph" footer banner. It allows for quick visualization of revenue related to a specific customer or vehicle, with filters by activity types or service families.
- Pricing Grids: A new button has been added to allow direct printing of a pricing grid in Excel format.
- Rate Adjustments: The rate adjustment menu has been redesigned and renamed "Rate Increase/Decrease."
This menu now allows more granular changes by vehicle category or type, rather than only at the full pricing grid level. - Third-Party Export Tracking: BIC and IBAN columns have been added to the third-party export.
- Short-Term Document Grids: A new "Purchase Order Reference" field has been added to short-term document grids (ST), to facilitate searching.
Fixes
- Rate Adjustments – Fixed an issue with the selection of pricing grids that, in certain cases, displayed rates that were not eligible for modification.
- Payment Reminders – Fixed an issue where reminder emails were using the wrong email template and attaching an unusable file to the prepared message.
- Long-Term Maintenance Report – Fixed a bug in the report criteria that prevented document generation in some scenarios.
- Various – Display Errors – Corrected multiple display issues found throughout the software.
- Various – Stability – Fixed several functionalities to improve overall software stability.
