List of journals in myrentcar

Find out how to manage the journal list in your accounting in myrentcar.

In your myrentcar car rental accounting software, it is possible to obtain accounting entries for all operations carried out. This is done automatically and can be modified at any time.

The journal list screen allows you to quickly view the complete list of usable journals.

When accessing this screen, the table appears empty by default, with the message "No data to display". To display journals, it is necessary to perform a search.

Accounting journal search

To display all folders, click on the button.

By default, the table provides 200 results. If the total number of folders exceeds this number, you can display the complete list by going to the last page of the list using the navigation buttons below the grid.

You can export the result in Excel format by clicking on the button.

Journal creation

MyRentcar offers several ways of creating a journal:

  • Either from the present list by clicking on the button.
  • From an existing journal (using the action buttons).

Accounting journal file

You can access a log file by clicking on one of the results in the list, or by searching for a specific journal using the shortcut search.

Once on a customer file, an action banner appears at the bottom of the page.

This button is used to save changes made to the file.

This button returns you to the journal list.

This button is used to create a new journal.

This button is used to search for an existing journal.

This button deletes the current record.

When the mouse hovers over the icons, a description of the action quickly appears.

Modifying an accounting journal

To view or modify an accounting journal, myrentcar suggests fields to be filled in according to need and data requirement (mandatory fields are marked with a red asterisk).

  • This field is used to add the journal code.
  • This field is used to add the journal title.
  • This field is used to add the journal type. By clicking on it, a choice of values is displayed (these choices can be modified in the backoffice).

  • This field, which is not compulsory, is used when entering entries to balance a transaction by assigning the line thus created to the counterparty account. This action is performed using the "Balance" button at the bottom of the screen.

The Accounts field is required to assign an account window to the journal, i.e. it is possible to add several account classes to a journal type.

To do this, simply add the accounts you wish to use to the "From account" and "To account" fields.

After modification, simply click on the action button to save.
